- TEASER PHOTO This photo is part of an ongoing story I have been working on for 5 months about the life of Kitty West. Kitty is a former musician who found out she had a rare form of cancer five years ago. Unable to sing she became homeless and is just beginning to recover. The completed multimedia piece will be finished next week and appear as part of a homelessness project by Elon’s student newspaper The Pendulum. Kitty West plays her guitar for the first time in months. Since her cancer, the act of playing and singing is physically painful.
